What to expect my first Physical Therapy Appointment?

Your first visit will include a comprehensive evaluation.  During this visit you and the physical therapist will discuss your physical therapy goals and an individualized treatment program will be established to aide you in returning to your prior level of function as quickly as possible.  Please click here to print your necessary form for your initial visit.

How long will my first visit last?

Please allow approximately an hour for your initial evaluation.

What will my treatment program include?

Your treatment will be personalized to you according to your gender, age, muscle tone, medical history, prior level of function, and type of surgery or injury.  Treatments may include a variety of therapeutic exercises for range of motion, strengthening, and balance; therapeutic procedures such as manual therapy; and therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation.

What is the cost associated with Physical Therapy and visits?

The costs will vary from insurance company to insurance company, and it will vary depending on each patient's specific policy.  There may be a co-pay or co-insurance due for each visit, which will be collected at the start of each visit.  The patient's  deductible may apply to Physical Therapy visits as well.  Your physical therapy benefits will be discussed with you at the beginning of your treatment.
